Old Rufus liked his whiskey. One day he got all roostered-up and decided to add a little hooch to his sauce. He then threw in a little maple syrup to 'sweeten the deal'. It was no big surprise to anyone that he liked it enough to keep on makin' it. The result is something that even a teetotaler can't get enough of.

Vittorio's Honey Garlic sauce was originally created in Chef Victor Iacobellis's hometown of Stratford, Ontario in 1988 for the first annual Great Canadian Rib Cook-Off in London, Ontario.
He sourced local honey from an apiary and Victor had a very reliable local garlic grower in his dad, Rocco, who grew all the garlic in the back yard of his home. The product was then prepared in the kitchen of Vittorios, Victor's Stratford restaurant.
